Playoff hopes alive for Breakers

The Burger King Breakers have kept their Australian basketball league playoff hopes alive with a 77-68 win over the bottom of the table Tigers in Melbourne.

The Breakers outscored the Tigers 26-16 in the final quarter after trailing by a point at three-quarter time.

Rick Rickert top scored for the Breakers with 16 points, while Kirk Penney, Tony Ronaldson and CJ Bruton also picked up double figures.

It is the Breakers' third straight road win and keeps them sixth on the competition ladder and on the verge of the top four.
