Survivor in hospital

29/11/2009 18:56:00

A man is in hospital after being rescued from a capsized fishing boat in Napier.

The 15 foot runabout he was on ran into trouble close to Westshore Beach around lunchtime. All three men onboard were fishing with a net when the boat flipped. Two were thrown into the water and the third became trapped under the boat.

He had to be revived after rescuers found him unconscious. The 39 year old was airlifted to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition.
