Woman found burning

22/11/2009 18:20:02

A 26 year old Christchurch woman is in hospital with severe burns. Police are investigating how the Addington woman was found alight by neighbours.

People reported finding the woman on fire, standing in her driveway. They say they covered her in blankets and water to extinguish the flames engulfing her body. The fire was put out and the woman was taken to hospital where her severe burns are being treated.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the blaze.
