Cessna crashes in Pakuranga

08/11/2009 15:24:03

A light plane has crash landed into the grounds of an Auckland secondary school.

Fire Communications shift manager Jaron Phillips says the plane went down into the field at Macleans College in Pakuranga. Just before 3pm there were several reports from people using cellphones describing seeing a plane go down into the school's grounds.

Mr Phillips says it is a Cessna, and the one person who was on board the plane escaped without injury. Fire officers are at the scene and more details will be available later.
