Powerful Wellington side named

Wellington has named a squad laden with Super 14 players for tomorrow night's Air New Zealand Cup and Ranfurly Shield match against Otago in the capital.

The Lions side is set to have plenty of grunt up front, with all but two of the forward pack having played super rugby this year. There is also some serious wheels at the back, with speedsters Hosea Gear and David Smith on the wings.

Loosehead prop Jacob Ellison has been named as captain.

The match kicks off at 7.35 tomorrow night.
