Nothing untoward over Jackson death..yet

29/06/2009 8:32:02

A second police interview with the doctor caring for Michael Jackson the day he died, has yielded no information suggesting the physician committed a crime.

The meeting with Dr Conrad Murray lasted three hours but there were reportedly no indications of criminal wrongdoing or the cause of death. Michael Jackson's family has sought a second autopsy, beyond the official one.

There are claims Jackson was injected with narcotic painkiller Demerol before he went into cardiac arrest on Friday , and Dr Murray was trying to revive him when paramedics arrived. Singer Jimmy Osmond also a child star says drug use in the US is out of control.

A custody row is developing over Jackson's children. Their mother Debbie Rowe and Jackson's mother Katherine both want to care for them.

US President Barack Obama has written to Jackson's family expressing his condolences. He says he saw Jackson as a "spectacular performer" whose life also had "sad and tragic aspects".

Meanwhile Jackson fans may not have heard the last from the King of Pop just yet. It is understood concert promotion company AEG Live recorded Jackson's final rehearsal at the Staples Centre in LA the night before his death.. and could release it as his final album.

The 50-year-old who died on Friday, had failed to front for several rehearsals ahead of his planned London concert tour beginning next month, but had had a full run-through of the show which lasted several hours.

While the world watches and waits for developments on Michael Jackson's death.. Hollywood prepares to farewell another star.

The funeral for Farrah Fawcett - who also died on Friday - will take place on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Unlike Jackson's send-off, which is expected to be a world wide public spectacle, the 62 year old will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
