ZESPRI wins China export award

17/06/2009 11:44:06

ZESPRI is on the right track in its moves to sell more kiwifruit to China.

The Tauranga company has just won the Best Logistics Strategy for China Award.

The China Trade Association gave out the hotly contested award last night.

ZESPRI's Carol Ward accepted the award, and she says China accounts for six percent of the company's kiwifruit sales, and is a key market for growth.

She says that based on current growth rates, within 10 years China and Hong Kong could form up to 20 percent of ZESPRI's total business.
