Bike riders worse off under Nats

26/10/2008 11:36:01

Cyclists think they will be worse off under a National-led Government, according to a new poll.

The Cycling Advocates Network has published a survey suggesting about a quarter of all candidates support better provision for cycling.

Spokesman Stephen McKernon says Alliance, Green, Labour and Maori candidates are more interested in supporting cycling than National's.

He says National's policy does not emphasise sustainable transport, and it is possible the party would threaten advances for cycling.
