Drysdale fastest by 7 seconds

World champion rower Mahe Drysdale has laid down the gauntlet in the single sculls heats at the Cambridge Town Cup at Lake Karapiro.

All the big names have won their heats but Drysdale was the fastest by seven seconds.

The final is at 8.45am tomorrow with the focus on Drysdale against Rob Waddell.

Caroline and Georgina Evers-Swindell have each won their heats in the singles sculls to progress to the women's final.
