Bill motivates marchers

21/04/2007 15:00:02

People opposed to the Government's Therapeutic Medicines Bill have been demonstrating in Auckland this morning. The Bill proposes tighter controls on herbal medicines including dietary supplements and vitamins.

Spokeswoman for the protest group Nicola Grace says it seems as though the bill will become law. She says that would mean an Australian body having control over what pills New Zealanders can take.

Ms Grace says New Zealanders have a right to freedom of choice.
