Drysdale happy with form

25/02/2007 14:08:02

The Bank Link National Rowing Championships in Twizel are over and the country's top rowers now turn their attention to next week's trials.

Halberg Supreme Award winner Mahe Drysdale's happy with his form after winning three events at the Bank Link National Rowing Championships in Twizel. Drysdale added the single sculls and men's quads to his pairs title on the final day yesterday. He says his speed is definitely there.

Drysdale says he feels like he is going faster than he was last year. Drysdale says he is feeling comfortable and still doing some good times. He knows there's more hard work coming up and now turns his attention to the national trials starting on Friday. Drysdale is not looking forward to putting in the big strokes on the ergometer.

He says they will have the erg test on Friday, which is always a painful experience. There is also a couple of time trials and a few races over the week.
