Attention turns to trials

25/02/2007 6:20:02

The BankLink National Rowing Championships in Twizel are over and the country's top rowers now turn their attention to next week's trials.

Two-time world single sculls champion Mahe Drysdale has won three titles this week and knows there is more hard work coming up.

Drysdale is not looking forward to putting in the big strokes on the ergometer.

He says they will have the erg test on Friday, and it is always a painful experience.

Mahe Drysdale says they will have a couple of time trials and a few races over the week.

The Halberg Supreme Award winner has won the single sculls, men's quads and men's pairs title.

He and his Auckland team were edged by Waikato in the final of the men's eights.
