Revenge for Drysdale

24/02/2007 17:32:03

Mahe Drysdale exacted revenge on Nathan Cohen at the BankLink National Rowing Championships in Twizel. The two time world champion beat Cohen in the single sculls then went on to win the men's quads with Nathan Twaddle, Steve Cottle and Peter Taylor.

Cohen beat Drysdale in the double sculls yesterday but the Halberg Award winner hit back, cruising to a comfortable victory in the single sculls. Drysdale says it was relatively easy. He says he attacked Cohen at the start and led him all the way countering any move he made.

Mahe Drysdale and Nathan Twaddle's Auckland Regional Performance Centre crew was beaten by Waikato in the eights.

The Auckland RPC women's eights won their title.
