Sean Marks back in black in the future?

12/01/2007 17:08:02

A quiet NBA season for Sean Marks may have a shiny silver lining for the Tall Blacks.

Marks transferred to the Phoenix Suns for this season, but has only managed two points and one rebound in seven minutes of his only game against Portland on Boxing Day.

New Zealand coach Nenad Vucinic says he has met with Marks in the past two weeks and thinks there is a better than even chance he will have another shot at the Tall Blacks.

Vucinic says one of the reasons Marks is considering coming back to play for New Zealand is that he is hungry for more basketball.

He says Marks can clearly guarantee more court time for New Zealand given he is one of the top players.

Nenad Vucinic says they want to get the Tall Blacks programme underway on July the 1st, with an eye to the Olympic qualifying tournament this year.
