Guard against internet fraud

30/11/2006 14:28:05

Have you taken the necessary precautions?

Today is International Computer Security Day and software company Symantec is warning about the dangers of not updating your computer.

Spokeswoman Simone Milne says people are using the internet more, yet are not necessarily aware how easily their details can be taken from transactions including e-mails and used fraudulently.

She says computers need to be updated yearly through a comprehensive security package which has anti-virus, personal firewall, anti-spyware and anti-phishing software.
