Black Caps eye match

29/10/2006 16:20:02

The loser of tonight's Champions Trophy match between Australia and India will make a surprising early exit from the competition while the winner could face the Black Caps in the semifinals.

Both India and Australia suffered losses to the West Indies and now need victory tonight in Mohali to join them as the semifinalists from group A. Australian all rounder Andrew Symonds says Australia is desperate to finally win the Champions Trophy. Symonds says the team wants to win everything it plays so badly wants to win this trophy that has eluded them.

New Zealand will play the top qualifier from Pool A.
