Summer comes to Auckland

22/10/2006 7:04:02

Thousands of fans are in Auckland this Labour weekend to catch up with the stars of the silver screen and the small screen as well.

The Armageddon Pulp Expo mixes gaming, comics, science fiction, wrestling and meeting stars of TV shows like 'Buffy', 'Stargate' and 'Firefly'.

The big star of the show this year is Summer Glau from the movie 'Serenity' and TV shows, 'CSI', 'Cold Case', 'the 4400' and 'Firefly'.

She has been given the top billing at the event at Auckland's Aotea Centre.

She says she finds all the attention flattering and sometimes a little overwhelming. She says it can sometimes be a little surreal to her and she believes it is undeserved - though she feels it's a huge blessing.

Summer says she is hoping to be able to see some of New Zealand during her time here - while her fans will be able to see more of her in the new TV series 'The Unit', which screens on TV3.
