Tataurangi below par in North Carolina

06/10/2006 16:00:04

Phil Tataurangi has become the second New Zealand golfer in a week to find himself right at the bottom of the field in a USPGA Tour event.

Tataurangi has blown out at the Greensboro Classic in North Carolina. He has fired a nine over par 81 in the opening round, including a double bogey and seven bogeys.

This time last week Craig Perks was last at the PGA event in Mississippi, crumbling to a 13 over 85.

Americans Brent Geiberger and John Rollins lead the Greensboro Classic on eight under.
