Landslip family contacted at last

04/10/2006 17:52:15

The Earthquake Commission has finally managed to get in touch with the owners of an Auckland house which is teetering above the sea following a slip this week.

The owners of the cliff top house in Awanui Street are currently in the UK.

North Shore city council spokesman Paul O'Brien says they are now discussing what options are available to the home owners, such as shoring up the house.

He says a family member has been on site today to take pictures to send to the owners via e-mail.
