Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pinned down a time and place for their royal wedding.

The Queen has given her permission for the couple to wed at St George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

They'll tie the knot in May, following the arrival of William and Kate's third child in April.

Sky's Adele Robinson said the ceremony will be a church service, but not a conventional royal wedding.

"Harry and Meghan themselves are leading the planning process. They want it to be a moment of fun, they say, and joy, and that will reflect their characters."

Robinson said the chapel is a much smaller venue than Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral.

"That will mean that the guest list will be somewhat smaller than Will and Kate's wedding, where they saw over 2,000 guests."

The royal couple is expected to begin their official engagements together in Nottingham this Friday.

It will include visiting a trust for World AIDS Day, meeting those suffering the disease.

HIV and AIDS charity work was a passion project for Princess Diana, Harry's mother.
