A woman scorned has come up with a unique punishment for her cheating partner - making him stand at a Sydney train station with a sign calling for humiliation and abuse.

He reportedly received plenty of abuse, being pelted with both insults and food.

The man also got the humiliation, when video of his punishment hit the internet and went viral.

A passing reporter confirmed that the stunt was genuine, and not simply done as a prank or piece of performance art. 

He confirmed that he had been unfaithful.
