Lightning has played havoc with bushland in Western Australia, igniting multiple fires.
In the state's South West region, a bushfire had been threatening houses at Forrington Heights in the east of the town of Waroona but has since been downgraded to a watch and act advice after the blaze was contained.
In the Lower South West region, an emergency alert for people 30 kilometres southeast of Manjimup has been downgraded to a watch and act because the blaze has been contained.
In the Great Southern region, a watch and act warning has been issued for the Lake Unicup Nature Reserve area and Mordalup Road in the Shire of Cranbrook.
That alert was upgraded because the fire broke containment lines after further lightning strikes and is out of control and unpredictable, and moving slowly to the northwest.
