English fans started walking out of Twickenham Stadium in London ten minutes before the final whistle.

England have crashed out of the rugby world cup in the pool rounds - disappointing the thousands of home-side fans.

The host team were dominated 33-13 by Australia in their Pool match in Twickenham.

A dominant first half from the Wallabies saw the visitors storm out to a 17-3 lead at the halftime break, courtesy of two Bernard Foley converted tries.

Foley slotted another penalty early in the second spell for Australia to build the margin to 17.

England started to rally back with an Anthony Watson try in the 56th minute, and along with another penalty came within seven points.

But, England lost any chance of a revival when first-five Owen Farrell was sin binned for an illegal tackle.

Australia capped off the match with a Matt Giteau try in the final minute.

Reporter Elliot Smith is outside the stadium and says there are some very glum faces.

"As I look around me now, England shirts are constantly coming out of the stadium. There is one look on all of their faces and that is a look of absolute disappointment in their side. They will be going home - or staying home rather - in this world cup far, far too early for their expectations."
