A New Zealand tourist has plummeted four storeys to his death in Thailand.
The body of Dunedin man Ross Anthony Mobbs was found by hotel workers on the terrace of the Chillax Resort, in Bangkok early yesterday morning.
Police say there was nothing emergency services could do.
They say the 30-year-old had been drinking with friends on the fourth floor, when he called it a night and decided to return to his own room.
Instead of using the door, he climbed over the railing of a balcony, but lost his grip.
Police are now trying to reconstruct the events based on Mr Mobbs’ friend’s testimonies.
The New Zealand Embassy has been notified of the accident.
