Updated 7.35pm: An Indonesian court has agreed to review the case of the two Bali Nine members facing the firing squad.

A Bali court registrar visited Kerobokan prison on Friday, where the Australians are jailed for their role in the Bali Nine heroin trafficking plot.

Lawyer Todung Mulya Lubis says an application for a judicial review of the case had been accepted.

He says the review will then go to the courts.

The lawyer adds there should not be an execution because the legal process now needs to be respected.

There's also swelling support for the men at home, including a vigil in Sydney last night and a petition with 135,000 signatures pleading for their lives.

Lawyer Peter Morrissey says the pair's rehabilitation since they were arrested, wasn't properly considered in the first review.

"Their rehabilitation has been startling, so that's the hope. Once the court engages properly with what they are being asked to do, they will think there really is a chance to make an exception for them."
