There's support of sorts from Kurdish New Zealanders, for military action against ISIS.

Members of the Kurdish community are marching in Auckland today, in solidarity with their compatriots in Kurdistan.

It comes as Islamic State militants continue a reign of terror in Kobane.

Organiser Rez Ricardo says the conflict reached its final straw for the Kurdish people, a long time ago.

She says the only way for the Kurdish people to fight against ISIS would be through means of self-determination.

Rez Ricardo says they would support military action from New Zealand, if this is the end goal.
