A New Zealander who was shot by his stepfather in Thailand had been arguing with him about a parking spot.
The Phuket Gazette reports 30-year-old Jamie Smith and his 25-year-old brother Ronnie got into an argument with their stepfather about parking a car in the garage.
During the fight, the 54-year-old pulled a gun and threatened Ronnie.
Jamie Smith tried to disarm the older man, but was shot in the arm during the ensuing struggle, and his stepfather was shot in the hip.
Thai police are questioning witnesses before deciding if charges will be laid.
Both men are recovering in hospital.
