A floor at the Jakarta Stock Exchange has collapsed, causing injuries, the evacuation of the building and possible deaths.
The floor collapsed into the ground level of the bourse's Tower 2, spokesman Rheza Andhika told Bloomberg, adding that it wasn't an explosion. Footage aired on local television MetroTV showed several people lying on the ground at the entrance of the building.
Valentina Simon, Head of Institutional Relations at the exchange, told CNN that the collapse happened on the second floor of Tower Two, at around 12:30 p.m. local time.
Images posted to social media show large amounts of debris, injured people lying outside the building and rescue crews at the scene.
