IPhone 7 users have been left wondering why their phones stopped working after they drilled a hole in them.

Apple's latest version of their trademark device comes without a headphone jack, but a prank video on YouTube says that one can be made - with a standard drill.

The video has been viewed more than eight million times, and while the majority of viewers weren't sucked in, some have taken the drill to their thousand dollar phones.

One user commented that he tried to drill a hole and - funnily enough - his phone stopped working.

He said he made the worst mistake of his life.
