American customs and border protection officers have shot a Canadian man who walked towards an inspection point waving a handgun.
The man stopped his car around 3am near a booth on the Ambassador Bridge, which runs between Detroit in the US and Windsor in Canada.
He was treated for his injuries and then taken into custody.
