UPDATED 1.55pm: One of golf's most beloved all-time players has died.
The man known as The King, Arnold Palmer has passed away at 87.
American media reports he died in Pittsburgh.
Palmer won seven majors during his career in a total of 95 professional wins and his role in 'The Big Three' in the 1960s alongside Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player helped open up the sport to new audiences.
He played on six Ryder Cup teams and was twice a captain.

Palmer, a Hall of Fame inductee and PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, retired in 2006.
Tiger Woods said it's hard to imagine golf without Palmer or anyone more important to the game than the King.
Palmer travelled to New Zealand in the 1960s, playing against former British Open champion Sir Bob Charles in a series of matches.
