Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un have signed a document which the North Korean leader says leaves the past behind.

Through a translator he said the world will see a major change.

The US President was also glowing with good will.

The pair shook hands after signing the document, Trump saying we will now see a very different situation that we've had in the past.

He also spoke about the pair developing a special bond, saying the meeting worked out better than anyone predicted.

Trump is expected to hold a news conference around 8pm NZT.
