The Australian Prime Minister has been slammed after announcing that axing the carbon tax was his greatest achievement for women in Australia.
Tony Abbott - who's also the minister for women - says women are particularly focused on the household budget and will appreciate that it's now better off by more than 500 dollars a year.
Critics have taken aim on social media, describing the Prime Minister as a man stuck in the past.
But Julie Bishop has stood up for her boss.
"There are numerous issues that could be mentioned in the context of what we do for women. I think the Prime Minister was focusing on the policy change that would have the largest impact."
