Australian Welfare groups say their latest Federal Budget hasn't passed the fairness test.
The Australian Council of Social Service claims $15 billion over four years will be stripped from families and lower-income Australians.
Council CEO, Cassandra Goldie, adds there are new cuts to child dental and community health programs.
"We're very disturbed at the way the government seems to be heading on tax. We've got this very generous tax break for small business, which has cost on the bottom line."Â
Australian Welfare groups are arguing last year's divisive and unfair budget continues to cast a shadow and, on the whole, people on low incomes are still lest to do most of the heavy lifting. Â
Australian unions are not so sure the emphasis on growing small businesses will translate to jobs for the broader economy, believing the 1.5 percent tax cut for small business will save the average outlet no more than $20,000 a year - not enough to hire new staff.
