Engineers will find out more today about what work needs to be done to the yellow-stickered St James Theatre in Wellington.
The building on Courtenay Place has been assessed as being between 20 to 30 percent of the new building standard.
The yellow-sticker means it can stay open, while the City Council has ten years to bring it up to code.
Positive Wellington Venues chief executive Glenys Coughlan says engineering are meeting this afternoon.
She says they'll determine how the building will perform in a moderate earthquake and work out the best strengthening solutions.
