Springboks hoping to turn the tables on the All Blacks

The Springboks hope to turn the tables of the All Blacks in the lineout this weekend in Cape Town.

South Africa lineout was atrocious in Albany three weeks ago as Sam Whitelock in particular forced multiple errors and turnovers in that area.

Springbok lock Lood de Jager thinks they have made the right adjustments.

"I wouldn't call it a masterplan but, yeah, we've prepared well and I think so have they so the proof is in the pudding on Saturday. We just want to go out on Saturday and execute."

de Jager's inclusion is one of three personnel changes made by coach Allister Coetzee to his side for the test on Sunday morning, which won't include prop Tendai Mtawarira.

'The Beast' will miss the Rugby Championship test against the All Blacks for family reasons.

He's replaced by Steven Kitshoff, who gets his first start after 18 Test appearances off the bench.

Francois Louw moves to number eight to replace the injured Uzair Cassiem and Pieter-Steph du Toit coming in on the flank while de Jager replaces Franco Mostert at lock.

Coach Allister Coetzee believes accommodating both du Toit and de Jager will go a long way to rectifying the lineout woes from Albany.

"Lood is an experienced lineout forward. With Peter-Steph there you can just see during training this week there's a bit of quality in our lineout plan."

de Jager is adamant they've found some positives out of the Albany annihilation.

South Africa were thumped by the All Blacks by a record 57 points in their last match against the world champions.

But the lock believes they've had plenty of support from the public.

"There's always one or two negative comments but I think most of the people are really positive in holding us up and hopefully this weekend the public will get behind us as well."

The All Blacks face the Springboks on Sunday morning.
