Renewed efforts to ban contact sports like rugby from UK schools.
Professor Allyson Pollock is urging schools to remove tackling from rugby because she said it is too dangerous.
However, British broadcaster Piers Morgan has challenged the idea, suggesting obesity is a far greater threat to young people.
Other prominent figure have also spoken out against Pollock, including international referee Nigel Owens.
They will want to ban walking to school next. And only rubber pens and pencils to be used in class. What is the world coming too. https://t.co/CYMmk6WSgt— Nigel Owens MBE (@Nigelrefowens) September 26, 2017
Owens agreed with Morgan saying tackle rugby presents less of a threat to children than inactivity.
