Former All Blacks Sevens captain DJ Forbes has retired from the game.
It ends an 11 year career, which includes a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and six World Series titles.
A long time captain of the All Blacks Sevens, DJ Forbes stepped down from the role before the Rio Olympics to focus on earning a spot in the team.
DJ Forbes says his life after rugby will be busy as he plans on finishing his Master's degree, which examines what makes successful coaching from an athletes perspective.
Forbes also noted that he hopes to be a coach of a national side one day.
