New Zealand kiwifruit growers have delivered a clear sign they are united in their vision for the future of their industry.

A referendum among growers shows over 90 percent support the Kiwifruit Industry Strategy Project.

It includes supporting the industry’s Single Point of Entry structure and placing a cap on their marketer Zespri's share-holding.

Independent Chairman Neil Richardson says there is clear support to lock-in long-term grower ownership and control of their industry.
