The Prime Minister says the welfare of Iraqi troops being trained in Iraq is the responsibility of their Government.

Labour MP Phil Goff is accusing our Government of doing nothing to address concerns raised in a US Department of Defense report published last year.

It had scathing findings on conditions imposed on Iraqi trainees at coalition bases, including Taji where Kiwi training troops are stationed.

John Key said it's not his problem.   

"The welfare and the living conditions of the Iraqi soldiers are totally the responsibility of the Iraqi government."
