Labour hasn't managed to build up much support in the polls as a result of its stance on foreign buyers.
The latest TV3 Reid Research poll sees Labour's popularity almost unmoved, rising by just 0.7 percentage points to 31.1 per cent.
The poll was taken after Labour reignited the debate on foreign ownership by releasing data about Chinese surnames of Auckland house buyers.
However, the poll also found there was majority support for a ban on non-resident investment in housing.
It found 61 percent supported a ban and 35 percent opposed one.
Among National Party voters, 54 percent supported a ban.
