The Green Party is calling on the Government to put the brakes on changes to surveillance and passport laws.
It's in the wake of a leaked copy of the government’s foreign fighter legislation.
Co-leader Russel Norman says it reveals serious flaws in the drafting, and sections that potentially breach New Zealand international legal obligations.
"The idea that the SIS should be able to break into your house without going to a judge to get a warrant, install covert video cameras which you have no knowledge of, record all of that information and then keep it on file forever seems to me a fundamental breach of our human rights."
