There's no one flavour of the month as we go into the election, according to an ice cream poll in Christchurch.
Gelato store Rollickin has come up with some new blue and red creations.
The flavour Billy Boy is house-made, with blueberry jam rippling through a strong foundation of Vanilla gelato.
Voters can also choose the Jacinda Fever, a cream cheese gelato with "lippy red velvet cake".
Gelato maker Josh Harnett said both flavours have been a hit.
"We've had plenty of people from different age groups come in, it almost sparks a little bit of a debate," he said.
"But they like to try both flavours and then match it with their political opinions, so it's always interesting to hear."
Mr Harnett says the new flavours were added yesterday and they've been the pick of the bunch since.
"All made with NZ farm milk, the backbone of NZ's economy - be quick, the price could be raised when we know what the water tax is."
