Funding boost for veteran services

As veterans prepare for ANZAC Day, the Government has announced it will provide $1.1 million to support services over the next four years.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the funding has been guaranteed for the RSA and No Duff charitable trust.

She says this is an acknowledgement of the work they do for veterans dealing with issues such as post-traumatic stress.

"This will provide the RSA and No Duff with an ability to better plan for their veteran support, as we are giving them certainty."

The last Labour-NZ First coalition had provided a similar funding package, but that was cut by the National government.
