Good news for bricks-and-mortar stores - you'll have customers for a while yet.
Research from CBRE shows 43 percent of younger shoppers in the Asia Pacific region expect to increase their online expenditure in the coming years.
But head of research Zoltan Moricz says the surprise is that a quarter of those aged 18-24 will also increase their spend in traditional retail stores.
"Those young generations are expected to have increasing incomes in the future. Therefore, their overall retail spend will be increasing."
He says retailers need to respond to the statistic.
"Essentially having a presence and it optimises both those channels."
The research surveyed 11,000 consumers in 11 countries across the Asia Pacific.
CBRE has a vested interest in the research, as it's a commercial property firm.
