A woman who lost her hand in a P-fuelled attack by Antoine Dixon is now in prison herself, for methamphetamine offences.
Today's Herald on Sunday reports Renee Gunbie was given a reduced sentence because of the trauma she suffered.
She lost her right hand when Dixon went berserk in the Hauraki Plains in January 2003, cutting off another woman's hands with a samurai sword and then killing a man in Auckland.
Ms Gunbie was sentenced earlier this month after admitting her part in a methamphetamine ring.
She was given five years and seven months in prison.
