North Otago farmers remain concerned the dogs that killed more than 200 sheep last year, haven't been identified.
The sheep were killed in two separate attacks on Ngapara farms in June last year.
Rumours flooded the small community, after police and locals initially believed the sheep had been shot.
But after a lengthy investigation, police found the livestock had been killed by dogs.
North Otago Federated Farmers president Richard Strowger says the offending dogs are still out there.
"I suppose if dogs can do that to livestock, then children are still at risk."
Richard Strowger wonders whether the dogs' owners know what their animals have done.
