The countdown to 2015 is set to be wet for many of us.
A front moving up the country is expected to bring rain to both islands on Wednesday.
MetService says those Northland, Auckland and the Coromandel can prepare for rain to get worse towards the end of the day.
And a wall of rain should move across the west of the country in the morning, hitting the West Coast and Nelson first.
Those celebrating in Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and Canterbury will be the driest.
And looking to the first day of the New Year, things will remain damp in northern parts of the country, but otherwise it'll be a sunny start to 2015.
