Washington is preparing for its worst snow storm in almost 100 years.
The city is expecting 60 centimetres of snow from a massive winter storm, which will hit 15 states in the eastern US.
Thousands of flights have been cancelled and the storm is likely to cause significant damage.
It is thought it will be a very wet snow which will be very heavy causing concerns over trees, power lines and possibly rooves collapsing.
Up to 75 million people are in its path, which touches 15 states along the East Coast.
People stocking up on food have cleared supermarket shelves, preparing for at least a couple of days holed up at home.
A State Of Emergency has been declared in four states with people asked to stay at home and not venture outdoors.
