Two crashes north of Auckland are causing lengthy traffic delays on holiday routes.

The first crash in Kaukapakapa was a collision between two vehicles on the Kaipara Coast Highway just before 3.20pm.

One person was seriously injured and two others received minor injuries.

Three ambulances and a helicopter were sent to that crash.

Diversions are taking traffic along Peak Rd.

The second crash was at the intersection of Matakana Rd and Riverglade Lane in Matakana.

A car and motorbike collided around 3.40pm.

One person was seriously hurt and one had minor injuries, and both are now in Auckland Hospital.

That crash has proven frustrating for people going to the Bryan Adams concert, two minutes further along the road at Matakana Country Park.

The event - which also features Dave Dobbyn and the Jordan Luck Band - started at 4 and ends at 10 tonight.
